Celebrity Makeup Artist Launches line of
Exquisite brushes made to last a lifetime

“It seems so organic to me that Tim Alan ‘the makeup guru’
created a line of brushes as soft and exquisite as himself.  Love it!”  Jo Frost, Supernanny (ABC)

New York, NY—Renowned make-up artist and author, Timothy Alan, launches his signature line of brushes, Chrysalis Beauty. Featuring nine exquisite pieces, brushes can be purchased individually ($22.00-$65.00) or as a set ($275.00) at Alan’s website www.beautybyChrysalis.com and at select stores nationwide.

Under Alan’s close tutelage, Chrysalis makeup brushes are made of the very finest quality hair and then hand-tied and cut to his closely specified dimensions.  Brush handles are hand-dipped in a pearl white color, creating a luscious lacquer finish.   Individual brushes come with a unique description and tip for use in an elegantly designed, high-gloss brown box.  The set comes with a plush brown brush roll and a complete set of tips.

Founder of Chrysalis Beauty, Tim Alan, is currently on tour for the fourth season of ABC’s Super Nanny with Jo Frost, and in between tapings he is making appearances nationwide to showcase his brushes.  Alan explained, “Over the course of 20 years I’d used make-up brushes from every company imaginable and wasn’t satisfied.  Rather than continue giving my brushes haircuts, I began a crusade to develop the very best for the very best--my clients. These are the most superior quality brushes made to last a lifetime!”

Over the years, Alan has worked with names including Sarah Michelle Gellar, Eva La Rue, Alec Baldwin, Susan Lucci, Kelly Ripa and Arnold Schwarzenegger in addition to Cheryl Burke and Drew Lachey (Dancing with the Stars).  He is the author of Two Faced:  Confessions of a Soap Opera Make-up Artist (Benbella, 2005), make-up columnist for Soaps in Depth, a contributor to various publications such as thebook (Neiman Marcus). He has also been featured on news programs nationwide, magazines, newspapers and hundreds of websites.

Alan volunteers with the American Cancer Society, Look Good Feel Better Program and when he is not on tour or developing new products, he shares his time between New York City and Los Angeles.
